Okay... there's a lot going on right now! Not at work, which will rectify itself come the holidays... George got a car finally!
It's a '91 Mazda Miata Convertible. He picked it up for three hundred bucks, just because it needed transmission work in order to be driveable. That, and somebody slashed into it to steal the stereo, and they lost a lot of the screws and broke parts of the dash, which means also that we had to order a new top. The old one's plastic window is so old that its permanently foggy though. Nothing that can't be fixed for little money. We just so happen to have a friend that is good with cars, and he owns a Miata as well. So- rock on!

George's birthday was a couple weeks ago. We had a ginormous turnout! I had to make up places for butts to go, like putting a cushion on a 5 gallon bucket. I made ten pizzas, cut up apples and served with caramel dip, put out a bowl of Chex Mix, a bowl of Beer Nuts, and we had pop, beer and Mike's for everbody. I made George a yellow cake with chocolate frosting this year. The more candles I have to put on, the harder it is to light without covering the cake in wax. After 24 we are converting to number candles. The actual day of his birthday was during the week, so we went out to eat. I ended up sick an hour after we got home. Probably the underdone steak, which I order medium anyways, but I think I got George's Medium rare instead. I only drank a shot and one drink. Must have been the food.

Next day, George gets promoted to Assistant Store Manager at the other store in town. We celebrated at Buffalo Wildwings! George has worked really hard for this, and waited so long. So I'm really happy for him!

So things are pretty cool around here lately! I'm doing less drawing and more sewing at the moment, but I'll photograph what I've done when I finish. I'm working on curtains right now.
